We are now looking for a Finance Administrator to provide effective administrative support to the Accounts team, ensuring accurate financial records, smooth processes, and timely completion of key finance activities across the business.
As a Finance Administrator, you will play an important role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the finance team, helping to maintain accurate records, process financial information, and ensure the smooth running of our finance processes.
Working in-house within an ambitious SME, this is a varied and hands-on role offering the opportunity to develop your finance knowledge, gain exposure across different areas of the business, and contribute to the continued success and growth of our brands.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Finance team with the day-to-day running of the department.
- Maintain accurate sales and purchase ledgers, including customer accounts, supplier invoices, and payment processing.
- Process financial transactions and ensure records are accurately maintained within Brightpearl.
- Complete regular reconciliations across customer accounts, payment platforms, and bank statements, investigating discrepancies where required.
- Support month-end processes, including adjustments, reporting, and account checks.
- Manage finance administration tasks, including credit card reconciliations, invoice approvals, and finance inbox management.
- Liaise with internal teams, customers, and suppliers to resolve queries and ensure smooth financial processes.
Skills & Strengths:
- Previous experience in a finance administration, accounts administrator or similar finance role.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
- Confident using Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience using accounting or ERP systems is advantageous.
- Good numerical and analytical skills with the ability to identify discrepancies and resolve issues.
- Strong communication skills, with the confidence to liaise professionally with suppliers, customers and internal departments.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information appropriately.
- A proactive approach with the willingness to improve processes and support the wider finance team.
- Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- A positive, can-do attitude with a willingness to learn and develop within the role.
