Our story

From two entrepreneurial founders to a team of over 35. We’ve come a long way over the last 18 years, with a lot of ground still to cover. 

2006 - Where it all began 

It all started with natural mattresses. After discovering that most baby mattresses were sprayed with chemical fire retardants, our founders knew there had to be an alternative; both to offer the very best night’s sleep for baby and peace of mind for parents. And so began our commitment to providing products that are best for baby and best for parents.

2013 – SnüzPod is a go! 

Our very first SnüzPod was born. Created to enable safe sleeping and provide a solution to the growing advice that parents should sleep separately from their child, but in the same room for the first 6 months. Going above and beyond the function that parents required, our design team thought it was equally important to give them a product they would be proud to have in their homes. That commitment to function, quality and style has remained through both brands.

2017 – GSG goes global 

In the year we were named on the Sunday Times ‘Top 10 Ones to Watch’, we ventured out of the UK and took both Snüz and The Little Green Sheep international.

2018 – Royal recognition 

With a portfolio that now included best-selling bedside cribs, cots, sleep aids and mattresses, we were honoured to be recognized with a Queen’s Award for Innovation.

2023 – USA & HRH 

Another royal accolade came timed with our launch in the USA. We consider it a huge honour to be one of the first companies to be awarded a King’s Award, this time for International Trade.

  • Paul Maurice - Founder & Chief Executive

    What I do
    I’m proud to lead an incredibly talented team, in a fast paced, customer focused business, that has two of the most incredible brands in the baby industry. We all perform best when we're having fun and feel supported, valued and truly believe we're making a difference, towards a clear and inspiring future ...it's my job to create that environment, and define that vision.


    Why I do it
    Helping people navigate the crazy but beautiful period of their lives where they grow into a parent is an incredible privilege - and creating products that help them look after their newborn baby is a huge responsibility that is never lost on me. We're a small but important part of what is one of the very best moments of their lives - and I never forget that. 

  • David Wood - Executive Chairman 

    Joining Green Sheep Group as Chairman, David brings almost 30 years in the retail and consumer sector. David is a highly experienced executive with extensive board-level experience both in the UK and Internationally. David served as Commercial Director on the Board of Tesco Hungary from 2010 to 2012 and between 2012 to 2015 David served on the UK Operating Board of Tesco PLC as Chief Marketing Officer and Group Managing Director. More recently David was Group President of Kmart Holding Corp from 2015 to 2017, and currently as Chief Executive of Wickes.

    David is Married to Rachel and lives in Hertfordshire with his family and is very proud of his two grandchildren.

    David’s three best bits so far are living in cities such as Budapest and Chicago, still getting into his water-polo trunks for a vets game, and the opportunity to support Green Sheep Group.

  • Rosie Pritchard - Sales Director

    What I do
    I have the pleasure of bringing our products to market globally. Leading a vibrant team and working closely with our partners, both retailers and distributors, to place the right ranges, in the right places for the right customers.


    Why I do it
    Having started with the business back in 2012, it still brings me joy seeing our products in-store and how parents-to-be interact with them. I know first-hand the impact a great product can have on a parent and love being part of a business where we get to feed our experience (& parenting pain points!) into the product team and then see it come to life. 

  • Jamie Jillard - Marketing Director 

    What I do
    As ultimate guardian for our incredible brands, it’s my job to make sure they are seen by and speak to expecting parents. Creating clear brand plans and delivering them, alongside our fantastic in-house marketing team, to both UK & International audiences.


    Why I do it
    As a first-time mum to my baby boy Banks in 2022, I had some key products that were lifesavers! In functionality but also in enabling me to maintain my pre-baby lifestyle. I believe parenting is an exciting new chapter that you get to design for yourself, so I am excited to be part of creating products that allow expecting parents to do just that!

  • Joshua Worrad - Product Director 

    What I do
    Leading a fantastic, end-to-end product team, it’s my role to curate the existing & future GSG product ranges. Taking concepts from a sketch on a piece of paper through design, sourcing, compliance, production & merchandising all the way through to supply, globally.


    Why I do it
    No two days are ever the same. Being able to not only create beautiful products but products that become part of such special memories for families is a pretty incredible feeling! 

  • Lianne Bishop - Finance Director

    What I do
    Keeping the books balanced to ensure a solid financial foundation, not only to underpin the day-to-day operations of the business but to support our continued global growth plans.


    Why I do it
    As a parent myself, the end result of what we do makes me very proud to come to work every day. Working alongside a team that is full of energy and for a business with such big aspirations, who said finance can’t be fun?
