We are now looking for an experienced Senior Assistant Merchandiser to join our Merchandising team. This is a newly created role at Green Sheep Group, offering an exciting opportunity to play a key part in the continued growth of our Merchandising function.

As Senior Assistant Merchandiser, you’ll have real ownership, influence day-to-day trading decisions, and help shape how the department operates as the business scales. Reporting to the Merchandising Manager this role is perfect for someone ready to step up and make an impact.

This is a hands-on, analytical role with real influence on trading performance, stock availability, and supplier relationships across our global supply base.

What you'll be doing

  • Manage stock levels across all product lines to ensure availability and minimise risk
  • Analyse sales performance to identify trends, opportunities, and underperforming products
  • Support in-season trading, forecasting, and repeat buys alongside the Merchandiser
  • Place and manage purchase orders in line with sales demand and supplier lead times
  • Monitor supplier performance, deliveries, and the product critical path
  • Produce and maintain clear, accurate reports to support trading decisions
  • Work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Customer Services, and Warehouse teams.

Skills & strengths

  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in an Assistant Merchandiser role
  • Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to interpret data and numbers
  • Highly organised, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Advanced Excel skills, including reporting, data manipulation, and pivot tables
  • Confident communicator, able to build relationships at all levels internally and externally
  • Quick to learn systems and processes
  • Experience managing or mentoring a junior team member is highly desirable
