Green Sheep Group is a high growth, ambitious UK company in the baby and nursery sector. All starting from the design of an organic baby mattress, we now operate two award winning brands; Snüz and The Little Green Sheep, selling internationally and to many of the UK’s biggest retailers.

Location: our head office is a barn conversion and located in a rural spot in Snitterfield, Stratford Upon Avon, and our distribution centre is in Arrow Valley, Redditch where we also showcase our beautiful products.

We’re a scale up business and we need more talent to add to our ever-growing team, that’s why we’re now recruiting for a Content Executive, reporting to our Head of Marketing (who is an absolute dream to work with, if we do say so ourselves!)

Purpose of the role

To plan and create engaging, on-brand content for all three GSG brands; Green Sheep Group, Snüz & The Little Green Sheep. Working across channels including social media and email, you will be responsible for creating content to attract, convert, delight and retain our audiences.

This is a hands-on role which will allow someone with a passion for content autonomy; taking ownership of the overarching content plan, and creativity; producing written and visual content.

As Content Executive, you will be responsible for creating content suitable for our trade and consumer audiences delivering a cohesive brand experience across multiple touchpoints.

Your day-to-day role will involve updating the content plan, scheduling social media content, engaging with our social audience, liaising with influencers and writing email copy.

Accuracy, creative flair & an eye on the industry will be needed to give us a consistent brand voice and competitive edge.

Working closely with the wider marketing team; you will ensure all content aligns to and amplify the strategic direction & commercial goals of the business.

To give you a taste, some key responsibilities will include:

  • Devising creative and relevant content topics to engage with target audiences, boost impressions and drive traffic.
  • Ensuring content initiatives are in-line with marketing and commercial goals.
  • Develop benchmark criteria to measure the effectiveness of content activity.
  • Regularly analysing and reporting on content performance.
  • Seeking opportunities on new platforms and placements whilst developing existing.
  • Write both short and long form copy for offline and online channels. You'll have the ability to adapt tone of voice to suit brand guidelines and will understand how copy should be tailored for the audience.
  • Visual Content; using tools and working with the Head of Visual brand, you will ensure our channels display a variety of on-brand content.
  • Influencer & Brand Collaboration Content; identify and build relationships with partners who enhance our content and grow our audience.

Now over to you, we would love for you to have:

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in creating and managing multi-channel content or across channels such as social media, email and websites (blogs) or in a similar role.
  • Excellent writing skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Customer-centric approach to content – including evidence of developing compelling content, both written and visual, for a variety of audiences.
  • Strong project management skills; highly organised and proactive, with the ability to see the bigger picture.
  • Agile & positive ‘can-do’ attitude able to adapt from planning / project management tasks to creative tasks.
  • Skilled in the use of social media platforms (particularly Instagram), scheduling tools (such as Later / Hootsuite) and content creation tools (such as Canva / Sketch / Figma).
  • Knowledge of SEO would be advantageous.
  • A full clean driving license.
